Velma J Perry Releases her First Novel!

FEBRUARY 2010!
Zimmer's Fall from the Pedestal

THE MIRROR OF REFLECTION

"I fell in love with Jute Joint Corn Whiskey when I was around thirteen years old and graduated with a degree in glasses and bottles of Smirnoff Vodka chased by drugs at the age of fifty. I have come full circle...So yes, I have a story to tell and my prayer is that you are blessed by it. " -Elder Zimmerman A. Hastings

As you look into the mirror of Zimmer's life don't be surprise if you see a reflection of your own because “Alcohol” is one of the many false comfort zones we escape to that provides us a place to dwell without confronting the real issue which is usually …our self. How can you find peace if you're constantly chasing after a war? - VJPerry

FUTURE 2010 BOOK RELEASE

Forgiveness is a gift allowed by God...

What we choose to do with it is left to our judgment...

However, God's Judgment is Final.

TRUTHS AND PAIN

The theatre production of TRUTHS AND PAIN is a reflection of our past. As we age we should look back and wonder, "how we made it through our youth and young adulthood"? Only by the Grace of God!

WE ARE LOOKING FOR INVESTORS FOR THIS PRODUCTION!

Take a look at the TRUTHS AND PAIN WEBSITE @ http://www.truthsandpain.wordpress.com/ . And click on the about tab and read an excerpt from the script.

OPEN YOUR EYES TO THE THOUGHTS OF A CHILD

This is a book inspired by my grandchildren, Jaedyn, Aliviah and Noah wanting to showcase their own talents and gifts.

It is a book of poetry written completely by them which I edited and published. OPEN THE EYES OF THE THOUGHTS OF A CHILD can also be purchased on http://www.amazon.com/ . They are execited!

In doing this, I wanted to instill in them early that the gifts and talents that they process need to be exercised early and maintained to a degree that fear in their usuage has no bearing as they mature. Additionally, I created a writing club social network for them and their friends entittled, TICTOC (Transcribing Ideas that Capture the Thoughts of a Child). http://www.thoughtsofachild.ning.com/ The club will publish a book a year in each age group. We hope to have children across the country sign up and share their thoughts. So check them out!

2008 Play - GOSPEL THIEVES

GOSPEL THIEVES is a story dealing with how we can misinterpret the Word of God, attempt to steal God's Glory and try to work our way into Heaven. The main characters include Detective George (he says the Lord has called him to be a "Detective of the Word"). He is well versed in the Word and takes on the church in the real view of the Bible. There is Chima Jean who is trying to work her way in to heaven, Gabriel who has strayed away and comes back with her challenging children, Leonard who is a "political correct Christian", Mother Gertrude who belives in Santa Claus, Mother Milmine who sees everything her way, Brother Milmine who is a newly reformed "hen peck husband", and Pastor Reed who continually attempts to feed his sheep.

This production is realistic, funny and should compel us to learn more of what we think we know about the Bible.

It is a "Denomination-Breaking Gathering of Unity" from the directors, actors, the musicians to those helping behind the stage for the message in this production. God has blessed this production overflowingly and the best is still yet to come.

2007 Play - DON"T BOX ME IN

DON'T BOX ME IN is a story of Wilson who had always believed that God only talked to preachers and had no idea what his purpose in life was until he met an old man living next door to the church named Mr. David who challenges him to talk and listen for God's voice. As Wilson became more in tune with the voice of God and His will for his life, Wilson finds out that not every one is as excited about his new found freedom. He is bombarded with cruel accussations and has to make a stand to do what God has asked him to do or allow himself to be "boxed in" and bow to the will of his church members.
